He broke the world record with a time of 45.25 seconds in 2012, followed by a remarkable improvement in 2018 when he shattered his own record with a time of 44.42 seconds, becoming the first amputee to complete the 400m in under 45 seconds. In 2019, he continued to showcase his exceptional abilities by breaking another world record with a time of 44.38 seconds in the 400m at the USATF National Championships.
